First meeting of Ron Morris & John Kass.
|April 21, 2018||Up a little early at 7:30am - busy day at work til 8pm. Light exercise, qi-gong morning routine in check. Eating at noon now is the norm, adding 4:30pm extra coconut oil dose. Gastric gas isn't a problem, hopeful will stay that way. Overall clumsiness seems to be trending down, urinary urgency even seems to be not as demanding.|
|April 22, 2018||Beauiful weather, and I was able to get outide and enjoy it for the first time in seven months. Knees a little stiff first thing, but I didn't notice it after qi-gong and light exercise. Newsflash: Christine has started doing qi-gong techniques to help relieve headaches. This stuff is contagious. Ate very little today--three servings all day long.|
|April 23, 2018||The amount of food I eat is one-third what it was; this fact is the most staggering part of this whole endeavor. The cravings are muted. I'm still hungry, but recognize that as a good thing, as I am burning off stored weight. Sometimes I realize how ignoring my eating habits was just plain silly, and I almost feel sheepishly ashamed for past behavior. Not too much though, much more thought on a positive future. Really glad I went for this, the benefits are constantly evident throughout the day now. Effortless balance via Mystical Habitual Awareness vis qi-gong methods is the approach for the rest of my life.|
|April 24, 2018||My knees are talking to me like they haven't in years, and it ain't pretty. Greasing the gears and feeling like my old self again has back talk. I'm trying to get into the habit of using my cane instead of the walker. Carrying anything else while walking is not an option; I tend to fall over and bump by head when I'm carrying even something lightweight and small. The walker is used more as a cart than anything else, moving empty glasses, dirty dishes, laundry, etc. I'm going to try using a backpack to move stuff with the cane. Anything to move forward and away from the walker is good. Now if I can remember to stop leaving my cane in the car. I have Two Canes (my new rapper name!), but now they are both in the car, and not at home. Rats! My legs and feet have itchy feelings sometimes, not too often, but I haven't had to scratch them in two years or so, so I must be getting more feeling in them.||good example of the speed of recovery and forward progress in the healing. john is doing what I ask; nothing less and usually a little more.
the balance is really about the student and teacher comunicating and adapting. the path is a simple and constant straight line and john is handling all of it by doing one single thing: following the instruction that I lay out. it's important to state that this is not "I'm right and you have to do what I say;" it's a subtle translation of what I do, adapted personally to him; teaching at his level. the only thing that matters is outcome; his body changing like this represents a positive outcome.
