protein is essential
What we eat is more and more processed food — things we can’t even pronounce — developed in laboratories by chemistry majors and PhD’s. When did eating get so complex? Ron makes it simple. This video blog shows you the importance of protein in your diet, and how easy it is to make sure you get what you need.
Well, it’s about time. Where have you people been? Come in, sit down.
Welcome to Verbal Blog. Today I want to just take a couple of minutes, real quick. I want to talk about protein.
I was talking to a student yesterday and they were talking about this kind of protein and that kind of protein, and protein blah, blah blah, blah blah, blah blah. It’s too much crap out there.
Protein. Whey protein. Premium. This is premium whey protein. All natural, America’s Favorite. Aren’t they all.
Look. What’s the deal? Find yourself egg whites, lean meats, nuts, things like that. Super great protein. If you need an accentuation to your protein, which I do, by the way. If you’re really super active, you are going to need a protein supplement.
You want to stay with protein companies that have been around a long, long time. You want to deal strictly in whey protein. It doesn’t need to be flavonized and ionized and creatinized, and homogenized. Forget that. Whey protein, and mix your whey protein with some juice. Clean whey protein will immediately instantize anything you put it in.
It’s real important that you get something that’s just bland, plain, you can mix in with other things. Now, if you need a meal replacement or a meal protein replacement, that’s another story. They make a lot of those.
Again, the criteria has got to be very simple. It’s got to be very, very plain. One, are there a lot of natural ingredients in it, or is the list on the back 55 feet long? Read what’s in this. Corn syrup, bad. OK. You guys know this.
And if you mix your meal replacement, what are you mixing your meal replacement with? Ice water? That’s a good way to go. Whole milk? Depends on if you want to gain weight.
So again, use your brain. Don’t buy what’s on sale. Don’t buy 50 protein bars, because they’re really super cheap at Huge-o-Mart. You have to buy things that actually are clean and healthy and probably cost more.
But it’s your health we’re talking about, all right? You can buy a multi-itamin for seven dollars at Huge-O-Plex, or you can go online and find really good products which we’ll connect you with — we’re going to have a link to that — that will help you get a really good product that will make a difference and make you feel better.
Eating clean protein. When you add protein, try and add protein with your food first, and then if you need a protein supplement, stick with the 100 percent whey and no extra additives. I don’t care… I can hear you just moaning and wheezing right now because it doesn’t taste good. What about the cookies and milk one? Forget it. Just whey protein.
Now that’s it for today’s video blog about stuff. Keep checking posts because I’ve got something to say about everything. And also, we’ll be responding to a lot of your emails and letters and stuff.
All right? Thanks.
