April 25, 2018 | Intense session with Ron today--lots of energy flow running down my right leg, feels like it was draining out of the outside side of my foot. Re-filmed interview twice, introduced dumbells and "poise" pose. My leg feels good. Had a fucking weird day physically, and then mentally. Walked with a cane for 30 minutes. It takes me that long in these new shoes and without a walker to get from my warehouse to my record store in Loring Park. Used to take me five minutes--underground tunnel between the two. Today was extremely physically taxing, and then mentally I exploded. Bawled for about ten minutes when I realized it took that long and was so difficult to do. Ended the day early--drained. It's all for good. I want to be free of the walker and the shoes. | very good example of how things work in a session. they are 0 to 60 and they work! the best thing is the detox of emotions that john relates; its all about letting go of one's self image. |
April 26, 2018 | Back was a bit stiff when I got up, which usually never happens, but I haven't noticed it after I got into the swing of things. First day using poise stance and hand weights.
April 27, 2018 | No noticible stiffness or sore muscles from daily hand weight routine. Did less poise stance today than I wanted to. Ron stopped by and concentrated treatment on the bottom of my feet. Got an extreme sensation especially on my heels, energy was pouring out of the side of my feet. Busy at work which means doing a lot of bending and picking stuff off the floor, in this case which means 78rpm records that are quite heavy. Ran out of Baclofen muscle relaxant today, the spasms in my leg made it somewhat difficult to sleep Friday night. Waiting on doctor to re-up prescription.
April 28, 2018 | To review: Morning out of bed involves "Reach for the Sky" and "Push the Wave" with meditation. First thing tbsp of Brain Octane and Espresso. Noon: 10-14 oz of meat and/or eggs, sometimes a small bit of green leafy roughage. Mid-day (flexible) some more "Reach" and "Push" stretches with some Kung Fu "Poise" too.4:30pm: Bowl of berries with a tbsp of Greek yogurt. 6-8pm (depending) 4-6 oz oatmeal with more berries. I skip the oatmeal about one out of three days. Walked around a bit more than usual at the store today, moved more heavy stereo equipment and tubs of records than I expected to be able to accomplish. Sat night had a diabetic reaction 1am Sat night, ate 6oz beef & kidney bean chili. Not noticing much difference from lack of Baclofen, surprisingly. Sleep was easy tonight, and noticed no aches or pains throughout the day | the grind of growth. its a job now, the job of healing the self. |
April 29, 2018 | Big surprise this morning -- leg and body "wholeness" still evident from Wednesdays's session! Balance a tad better too. Short whirlwind session with Ron today, as this is the first nice day weather-wise in 7 months, and the store was packed. Went out and saw some bands tonight, sleep schedule accomodated from working late last night. More review--add almonds and walnuts in small amount daily. What I'm skipping: no sugar, ice cream, pop, no chips, no bread, buns, pasta, dough, no potatoes, no rice, no cheese or milk, no pizza, tacos. Was compelled to get out of bed early (7am) and up on my feet, which is unusual for a Sunday. Qi-gong movement and meditation is becoming like a sanctuary, and I crave the balance (literally) that I practice while using it. Only ate one meal today, was hungry at 9pm, but waited until tomorrow. A fair amount of movement, left the house at 9am for 12 hours without the walker. |
