April 30, 2018 | Slept well last night. Left home at 10am with the walker so I could bring stuff with. Home at 7pm. Missed taking coconut oil before I left, and had a diabetic reaction around 3pm. Noticing an interesting trait--I seem to have diabetic reactions when I miss taking my meds or coconut oil. Takeaway is that my body is relying on supplements more than food, obviously the food is important too, and I'd for sure have a reaction if I missed that too. My point is that the coconut oil has become more important to my well-being while in ketosis, and the diabetes meds are still doing their thing as I drop weight. Not surprising, but interesting in its confirmation. First 80-degree day this season, and I drank 30% more water than nomal with an actively-physical day. Opted for half a normal serving size of berries tonight, and skipped the oatmeal altogether.
May 1, 2018 | less, Less, LESS is the order of the day with food today. A bit hungrier than normal in the morning due to a lighter than normal dinner, but not uncomfortably so. Still needed a bit less than normal for lunch today, no problem. Skipped oatmeal again. Tuesdays are paperwork, screen-filled days, inventory. Felt good today. | this simple awareness of consumption will win this race, as I preach it less, it works. we love to consume. DON'T! |
May 2, 2018 | Ron's session today was intensely strong on the feet. Balance much better the entire afternoon- afterward felt like walking on deflated basketballs. Lots of full-on energy flow through my right leg. One blast of energy felt like a lightning bolt blasted right though my knee. Not painful, just a flash of energy. Worked a lot on Crane Stepping on Snow and direct healing directed at my leg. Starting to notice upper body and arm strength incresing with daily weights. Walked the most I have without the walker so far. Big day.
May 3, 2018 | I'd say that I'm 100% acclimated to the flat shoes now. Smaller belly means putting shoes on and just general picking stuff off the floor is much easier than it was weeks ago. Amazing how the body and brain revert into old ways of doing things, while others (like balance itself) require more preparation. Again noticing the overall lack of clumsiness, and a slight general sense of consistency that the qi-gong and kung fu practices are bringing.
May 4, 2018 | Natural instincts are starting to change as I continue treatment, increase qi-gong and hand-weight activity. Picking up things off the floor is done on my feet; no longer do I feel more comfortable in a chair as I was just days ago. Noticing more savings in day-to-day spending is noticable without the "recreational eating." | you can see a distinct pattern of growth and the results of john's hard work. he talks about "natural instincts" that says it all. "recreational eating" -- you got it buddy! for those of you thinking that just one cookie is no big thing... |
