slow down
What are we racing towards? What’s the big hurry? There’s always more stuff to do and there will always be more stuff to do. There’s always more money to make. Slow down for a second and try something different today. Instead of passing by a grove of blooming crabapple trees, slow down and take the time to notice them. Recognize the simple beauty of the flowering trees. Make this a daily habit. You will be happier for it. I guarantee it.
When you’re a TM you hit the alpha, the alpha wave and that’s a regenerative cycle vibration. It’s why people say Ohm. You know, Ohm. What it does is it helps put your body’s vibrations in sync, your energy in sync. It sounds like crap but it’s not.
It’s actually a legitimate way of calming your body down but most importantly calming your central nervous system down. When your central nervous system gets all out of alignment that’s when sleep suffers.
You have more coffee, you sleep less. You have more coffee, you sleep less. You can see how it tumbles, can spiral. What you don’t want to do is feed that machine. What you’d like to do is just say, stop, like you are today, Kim, and saying: you know, I’m going to go home, be healthy, have some water, kick up my feet, meditate and slow down.
If you think about it, as I was talking to another client today, what are we raving towards? What’s the big hurry? Everybody’s oh, I got to get this done. There’s always more stuff to do and there will always be more stuff to do.
There’s always more money to make and there’s always more employees to fire and there’s always more gumball machines to make, your choice, whatever makes you happy to plug into seeing that you, your thought, is creating this dramatic inconsistency in your central nervous system.
Every day I look at this. It’s calm. It’s serene. It’s beautiful. I look into it every day. Here’s the difference. I don’t pass it every day. I stop and I look at it. You say, well, I don’t have time for that.
Really? Think about what you’re saying. It’s an unhealthy mix thinking that you’re that important. The universe goes on with or without us. That river goes wherever it wants and so should your thoughts, energies and life.
Relax, everybody. Get out in nature, take a breath. Nothing, I repeat, nothing, no 18 year olds drama, no bosses dilemma, no ex-wifes demands or ex-husbands are that important. Shrug them off for today. Just for today, shrug everything.
Take it from me.
