never diet again
Ron explores responsibility, ownership, and walks you through getting yourself fit and healthy. It doesn’t take the perfect workout outfit, or the designer diet. These are 5 quick lessons to get you started on the road to your own fitness and health.
Diet. This is a page out of my book. This episode, this little blogosphere is about diet. By the way, that probably looks like what you and your cohorts eat at the coffee pot in the office. I want to go over five, quick, easy lessons to help you not diet. I don’t want you ever dieting again. I want you pretending that word never existed.
Lesson number one, it’s real simple, losing weight and getting in shape is easy, easy, easy, easy. Here’s what you do. Lesson one, take responsibility. Be responsible for it. Don’t blame your thyroid. Don’t blame your husband. Don’t blame anybody. Get up in the morning and do something about it, that’s responsibility, lesson number one.
Lesson number two, do some work, do some research, watch the blogs, read my books, read my entries, join the 12 weeks. That’s research that will help you move along. It’ll help you get started without wasting time and money. You don’t need to buy a lot of stuff.
Lesson three, you kind of have to acknowledge that you’ve got an unhealthy relationship with food. OK. If you’re constantly thinking about it, worshipping it, covering it in chocolate, you may have some issues, which is to say, who doesn’t have issues? But if you acknowledge that then you can deal with it.
Lesson number four, it’s restraint. If you get a bowl full of food, eat half the bowl. Don’t eat all this stuff. Start showing restraint. Hirahachi boo, 80 percent full.
Lesson five, just quit giving yourself excuses. This is probably the most important part of this page. Everyone’s got a reason, everyone’s got an excuse, everyone’s got something off in the distance.
I was talking to one of my students today who’s totally made a grand life change with me and through me to help him get his physicality back. He’s only 32 years old and he and his wife decided to quit making excuses.
She found things she was interested in. He found stuff he was interested in. Basic fitness, common sense diet. Now they shop together. They buy stuff that looks like this, things you can recognize. They don’t buy things like this anymore. Hmmm, no, no. Although those look great, they make you fat, stupid, and dead. That’s a fact.
Diet, your lessons today are don’t ever use that word again, responsibility, research, relationships, restraint, no excuses. It’s all right here in the book. All right? And this should be able to be downloaded pretty darn soon. It’s called — what is my book called? It’s called “I Know Everything and You Don’t.” No, that’s not it. It’s “The Hanzo Philosophy to Life and Physical Fitness: The Ultimate Self-Help Guide.” Mind, body, spirit. And you’ll be able to download this real soon.
