workplace workouts: doors
What are doors good for when it comes to a workout? As it turns out, for both stretching and building strength!
Oh, hi. Practicing for my next Bruce Willis movie. Hey, another great way to stretch your back, hook up on top of a door. Arch back. Stretch back. Lift your feet. Let that torso stretch out. Build your arms. Build your back. Build your abs. Make sure you’ve got something in the door so your fingers don’t get jammed shut. That’s always a bad thing. Make sure that if you have rough edges, put a towel on top, but seriously, this is a super killer stretch. Keep your feet down. Stretch out your lower back. Say your lower back is really bothering you from work. Sink down. Open your hips. Ah. You feel good. You can almost feel how good it feels, can’t you? Well, can’t you?
One more time. Then you can get really good. Do a pull up. Look, Ma, I’m getting strong. Builds all the important muscles, and some that aren’t, that you can’t even see. I’m not showing them to you.
Doors, yet another secret tool in our little arsenal at work.
