kettlebells – figure eights with movement
That’s right. Still no Gary. What’s up with that? More kettlebell fun. It just never stops here. All right.
We’re going to extrapolate on what we’ve been doing, staying into the core, developing specific areas, really the lower back, the quadriceps, the abdomen and flexibility. Movement with strength. That’s real important.
We’re going to learn this today. The figure eight, just like this, with a little movement. Shifting, shifting, and down. Shifting, shifting, shifting, shifting, down. You can learn to move back and forward, forward and back. It doesn’t really matter.
Also, with this, you can create other combinations that are really effective. The idea of a quick workout is you grab a kettle bell that you like, or one that you’re not crazy about, add something to it. You do a figure eight with a snatch.
Back, figure eight, and then another snatch. Bang, like that. You really are only limited by your imagination. Technique reigns. Much like the swing, it’s all about here, the core, the dynamic.
You really want to adhere to that focus on your lower sacrum, the quadriceps and your abs, staying at an angle, moving the ball like this. You start. You work. You’re back on your heels. You don’t want to be over, arching your back like this. That’s going to cause big back problems. You don’t want to be like this.
Also, you can’t facilitate other moves. From the front, it looks like this, back and forth. Then from the side, if you’re learning to move like that, you see it doesn’t matter what you’re doing. You’re able to facilitate that agility and that trajectory.
Gosh, I wish Gary was here. Don’t you, kids?
All right, once again the figure eight. Start light, make sure that your mechanics are back in here. Boom. Boom. It is a simple one but man I am telling you it is worth revisiting a whole bunch. It really works the whole body. And you can travel down one way, travel back the other way backwards. Learn forwards, sideways, it is endless just like this blog. It is just endless, it just never stops. The guy won’t shut up. Please stop, stop, stop!
