gibbon line and maces
These gibbon lines are a really nice tool. You have to be very respectful of them, very cautious of them. They will help you strengthen your core muscles and improve balance. The maces are a nice introduction because you can learn to balance, move, and flip flop with the maces.
Whoa, this is high. I must be like 100, 200 feet off the ground. Oh, man! People look like ants. You should see how…Oh wait, those are ants. Come on. Things that you can do with your mace, and your gibbon line. You can experiment with training the whole torso in different angles, and different spectrums of flexing. Moving backwards, and then moving forwards. Nice and simple.
You work at getting those hip flexors functioning, and relaxing. With the slack line you really have to pay attention to where you’re going down the line, as opposed to looking down, and focusing, like we all do when…All you bad ass cross fit guys go to the gym, and cross fit train. You know, light tires on fire, and jump over barbed wire. Isn’t that what you guys do?
Cross fit. Come on over here. I’ll cross fit your ass.
These gibbon lines, they’re a really good tool, a really nice tool. You have to be very respectful of them, very cautious of them. Maybe get a shot of this, Gar. They’re a couple inches wide. This one’s been used pretty consistently, but there’s more to them that you can do than just with the maces. The maces are a nice introduction because you can learn to balance, move, and flip flop with the maces.
In the next couple of blogs…In fact, let’s just grease this one real quick. If you’ll step back…Whoop, don’t trip over that bear [laughs] Mr. Cameraman. The next one we’re going to have Gary do. I’m going to film Gary. You’re going to see him. That’s right. You’re going to see Gary next blog, promise.
When you hop up, learning to use the slack line without the mace, you just start doing it like you normally would with anything else. Slow, consistent, start peeling away crutches that you might need, and then see what you can come up with. As you can see, this is a heck of an ordeal. Whoa!
So, get a slack line, get a mace. Start having some fun.
It is a different day, otherwise I wouldn’t have a different shirt on. Good bye.
