BOSU balance – abs workout
This BOSU exercise is very safe for the back, but works the abs and helps you maintain balance, which is more and more important past age 30.
Well, it’s still 11 degrees out. It might even be 10. Let me adjust my socks. There, maximum comfort level achieved. All right, so once again, like the rings, there’s a lot of dynamics you can do here. One of them is working your abs in a really different and unobstructed way and save on your lower back.
This balancing act right on the center of the BOSU creates a dynamic here that is really unparalleled and super safe. It doesn’t hurt your coccyx bone. It doesn’t hurt your lower sacrum, depending on the size of your butt.
Now listen, if your butt’s the size of a Toyota, you’re going to have a problem here or you’re going to need a bigger BOSU. Perhaps two BOSU’s, one in each butt cheek. But I’m sure none of you have butts that big.
Coming back like this, learning to balance. OK, this is one of the most important things that people don’t do after the age of 30. Learning to keep your balance is one of the most important aspects of physical fitness as you get older, 30 and older.
Most people in their 60s, even in their 50s now because people are getting so out of shape, they fall. They tip over. They crash into something because they have no flexibility or agility.
Playing on a BOSU, doing something like this, trying to balance your body on a small point requiring all these fast and slow twitch fibers to respond and react is a great way for you to keep your balance, to keep your awareness and stay focused on what you’re trying to do.
That’s right. I’m just a font of useless information today. Oh, yeah!
All right, in our next set of blogs I’m going to have a different shirt on. It’s going to be very exciting. Make sure you come on back.
