kettlebells – the clean
Here we are again, live with the Hanzo Ranch. It’s time for more education on your Mr. Kettlebell workout. The clean. Possibly the hardest thing you’re ever going to learn. I rarely see people do it right, I always see them do it wrong, and there’s always a good chance they’re going to die when they do it. [laughs] They’re dangerous. Like monkeys with a gun. Isn’t that right, studio audience? [applause]
Ron: Exactly. Studio audience, one guy. Accidentally came into the yard. I think he’s a county assessor. Probably wants tax money. The clean. First, I’ll just do it. We’ll watch it from the front, and then the side. Boom. Nice smooth move. See that? Very nice. Down. A little between the legs, take a breath. Boom. Nice and tight. That clean is really the basis of what we’re doing as far as core control. Power control really developing quadriceps muscles and so on. We’ve got a [laughs] visitor at the playhouse. We’re still going to finish this up real clean.
I’m going to stop that car right there. Then what we’re going to do is we’re going to break this down real quick. Again, it’s going to look like this. Boom. It’s a nice easy clean. Then from the side, down. We’re going to pause from here. Nice easy clean, wham.
How is this done? It’s like a swing. It’s all done in a swinging motion, but you’re just bringing your hand up to your chest. Up to your chest.
We’ll go into this deeper next time, but that’ll wet your taste buds for now. For Bruce, my one man audience, for Suzie Quatro behind the camera, [laughs] and for my mystery guest coming down the street, I’m Ron Morris saying I’m Ron Morris. Goodbye.
