rings basics
Using rings is an effective and fun way to build strength and tone muscles. “This works your shoulders, your chest, your back, your waist, your balance, because you’re learning to manipulate and guide your body with your own body strength.”
Hey, it’s circus time at the Hanzo Ranch. Yes, you’ve found out my secret job. I’m a circus performer. I’m going to have Mr. Camera step back a little bit. Today is real simple. You get yourself a pair of rings or go to the park.
What you’re going to do is, first, avoid that tractor that’s trying to run over Gary while we’re doing stuff in the yard. You’re going to put the rings chest high. You’re going to jump up gently, just like that. You’re going to do it a bunch of times.
This works your shoulders, your chest, your back, your waist, your balance, because you’re learning to manipulate and guide your body with your own body strength. Guys, this is tough. People avoid this kind of stuff, because it’s hard.
You want to step in like this. Then when you’re going to jump into the boat or into the fire or out of your marriage, whatever you’ve got going, you want to bring your arms out, knocking all the weapons out of your ex-wive’s hands, and then jump into your lawyers arms, hoping for the best.
What the hell is he talking about? Then you can cartoon run. You can almost hear the cartoon music. That, my friends, is brutality, as my cameraman Gary will tell you. Won’t you Gary? Gary is shaking his head.
The last one to learn, let’s say you have a real weakness. You can start by doing this. Same height with your rings, just keeping your body straight, lean forward, come back. Fall forward, hold, and come back. It looks so easy but, I’m telling you, this is really effective. We just did this workout before we started filming.
Welcome to Circus 101. In the next episode, we’re going way over by Gary’s new car and we’re going to walk on a tightrope. Well, it’s kind of a tight rope. It’s more of a thick…well, never mind.
